Adventure Team Lansing Area started in 2020 as Capital Youth Cycling, a nonprofit on a mission to create an active and inclusive community that helps youth in greater Lansing develop resilience, self-confidence and community through outdoor adventure on bikes.

In just three years, CYC went from enrolling 45 kids in a nine-week summer program at Eastgate Park to serving nearly 150 youth and adding a second location at Burchfield Park. With the help of more than 70 volunteers, we take kids on local mountain bike trails for adventures that help them overcome challenges and build positive relationships.

906 Adventure Team has been instrumental in our success from the beginning. Their Adventure Bike Club program provided our model, and our volunteers were trained through their program. In 2023, CYC officially joined forces with 906AT to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Lansing-area program.
